my life gets kinda boring, need something that i can confess Time flies. Looking at my last wordy post and realized how many things I hadn't blog! With just 2 posts to cover all the 'seen and done' in US, that is definitely less than 0.01% of the whole trip. Sigh~ And coming back to reality, have been actively looking for job postings online. BUT there just don't seem to be that many looking for Materials Engineer. So far what I have found is like less than a handful. Submitted my resume and praying for the best. wild wild wood THE WEATHER IS SO COLD!!! BRRRRR~ After 18 hours of flight, 1 hour of transfer, a night at the airport, and another 8 hours of bus ride, we are finally here!!! At Wildwood!!! Feels like someone constantly turned on the air-condition too strong. And when the wind past by, I totally feel like dying. Resorted to donning on layers and layers of clothes! So far maximum is 5 tops and 2 jeans. Food portion is so huge! Still have leftovers from dinner on Tue, after eating as breakfast yesterday. Oh, did I already mention it's so cold here?! (Pulls blanket to keep warm) AND we almost horlarnd yesterday. A friend brought us out to Wal-mart and we all shopped in our own groups. And then! Forget where was the bus stop we alighted. Cool man! fish eye view  Haven't develop the photos yet! Hope they turn out well~ First time to the barrage after it was opened for sooooo long... The feel there is really good! Loads of families and friends were there flying kites, picnics and all! A very good place to go and relax~ Even if you are not into flying kites, it is just as relaxing to sit around and look at people run around. ----- Hehehe had an AWESOME time celebrating end of prof comm~! mse/sce freshmen camp 09/10 Took me awhile to start on this post. Anyway here it goes~ Peee-chures!  5 days 4 nights. Sun and fun. Will always remember the endless planning and preparation prior to the camp. The gossip session during debrief into the wee hours with phee. Being woken up at all the wrong time by CP number 5 (!@#$%^&). Waxing a poor guy's leg hair during war game. The "below-the-waist" game su san and cedric were playing. Being sabo-ed by huiyu and pam into getting dunk. In turn dunking pam and waiwai (=D). Balloons streamer that cedric made for telematch. Pamela's fright night that turned out even better. Endless forfeits performed by the freshies! How difficult it was to wake the babes up after bash night for cup noodles! AND (of course!) the loads of help all programmers (especially my favorite girls) put in throughout the camp!!!~ Hope the girls are enjoying themselves in M'sia. Come back safely babes!!! for the month of march This is scary! My last entry is half a month back! There is definitely no lack of events to update. But there is never sufficient time to do so... Come to think of it, my poor laptop was lying innocently on my table for the whole of last 2 weeks? Dang! Time passes with such subtlety. Much have happened since 1st of March. It is already 20th! Come on! Allow me some time to recall... (Not in chronological order) Attachment Check out Jimman's birthday present and my V-day middle finger project...  Room of my life Days without the messy-big-sister around to wreck the room, the make-over of my table top... I helped to pack her table a bit too ok!  Post IA trip planning After all the planning to go Taiwan and all, we finally decided that it is not within our budget and thus gave up all hopes of it. There were some unhappiness going around before the meet-up... Bwah... Shall not bring it up again. Carl's Jr dinner Girls outing it was, where everyone laughed like mad the whole night. I will never forget how mag almost spilled the drinks the first time and REALLY spilled it the second, all over her and me. Basically we all screamed a bit and qi was the only one there who was super calm and trying to hide her face. There was also the "Korean Madness" madness~ Check out the video below! NTU open house Encounter of weird weird youngsters, who return you the freebies and take only the phamplet. Many many styles of them doing it too. And then, of course, there is the rush for GOODIES BAG as usual. A bit disappointed though, because this year's goodie bag only has a packet of mee goreng which does not look very enticing. The pencil case material sucks too, though I must applaud the person who designed it. There was also free food, pens, caps, etc...  After the open house, I took balloons back thinking I will be able to meet tesia, haikal or marshya during dinner with papa mama ahfongjie and ahboygor. In the end none of them came... ): but papa brought the balloons home for tesia. (:Gossip night Had korean dinner with my bonnie at the food court waiyee had recommended since so long ago. A good advice would be never order what you feel you can swallow because at the end of the day, you will end up too full, but still trying to gorge finish the food. And then finally met up with Pam after so long... By all means had to squeeze out all the juicy bits about her and her new boy. We went Acid Bar hoping to hear our favorite duo, but nope. We shifted to Youth Park for supper. The teens there can really dance! and cannot really skate. =X (As I see them try all sorts of stunts, I vividly remember my first time on a skateboard myself... *shivers*) Beef noodle Got to eat the beef noodle from my favorite stall. Nostalgic place as it is, the food is fantastic! Nice catching up session too. Akashi dinner Just today... A pity esther had to leave earlier. And the rest could not join us. It was good that dinner was not at Engin -.-"  Should be about all for now... Still got a very belated soup spoon dinner with no thanks to someone in particular whom I do not feel like mentioning. And the very cute "Sua bean" auntie at clementi market. (She was actually referring to SOYA bean, but very fast.) Not sure if I left anything out. 'lobby' service Was so excited yesterday!!! The cashier forgot to remove the safety tag of a customer and our asst supervisor sent me with another colleague to do so at her hotel! Walking out of Mango was incredulous~ Imagine Sunday night, christmas carols, acrobats and party people everywhere. The whole place was so ALIVE! Thought we could go up to her hotel room and explore a little more, however the lobby peeps called her and she came down. Awww~ We could only render 'lobby' service, no more exploring of hotel rooms... Nevertheless, the hotel has very nice interiors. Especially that jellyfish-lool-alike chandelier! 乌龙 of the day Wlao` Waituck messaged me yesterday asking if I want to meet them to go for the lab training together today. In the sms, he wrote: interchange berth 96. Being over-glad that there will be someone to lead the way for the training, of course I replied: Okay! Then this morning I went all the way down to Harbourfront interchange before the arranged time and looked for 96 berth. Don't have leh~ Just then Geok Leng called, so I asked her... GL: The berth is all the way at the end of the interchange near a narrow staircaseSo I waited and waited... then after a while Waituck called. WT: Wru? bird bird park We went to the Jurong Bird Park~ TADAH~ [Erm...It was last week...haha...]  Yup yup no kidding... We really went! Kudos to Shuxuan for the photos!!! Haha she very kindly zipped all of them into 11 files and emailed to me. Very nice friend, I have!!! When I was telling my family members I'm going. A dialogue from some time ago... Mummy: 明天有没有人在家帮我？  And this couple is my favorite!!! They are the only ones that welcomed the sight of us throughout our whole visit. They are really very cute!!! The 2 of them walked up to welcome us and then followed us along the fence to the other side of their enclosure. It was so tempting to 'sayang' them. The myth about ostrich burying their heads... IT'S NOT TRUE!!! These ostrich may have survived since the dinosaur times, but they are not THAT stupid. Lesson learnt: Never bring Wai and Xuan out together... they will team up bully me!!! no skin mooncake 失败 失败~ 我的冰皮月饼不成人形！ After the making of ondeh-ondeh episode, my new challenge was the snow skin mooncake... Turn out the recipe that I followed for the snow skin seems impossible to follow. Used the same ingredients but the mixture turned out runny. Had to use my own agar-ation to make it possible to knead. However the taste was totally weird. On the other hand I thought the red bean paste turned out pretty well. 没有月饼，至少还有红豆沙。(: What's next? ice-cream for you? Had the best experience selling ice-creams at the PAB RSAF Open House this year. People who came for ice-creams are all smiles when they get their flavour. Especially the children. They looked totally delighted when you pass them the ice-cream that they chose. Despite the heat from the glaring sun, huge crowds and long period of standing, it is from the bottom of my heart to say it was the most rewarding job I ever had. What more, you get to eat free ice-creams! ^^v Now I love the Apache!!! The airshow was totally worth watching!!! The fighter jets and helicopters are way too cool. The pilots and technicians are very friendly. (My sis will say I'm trying to hook one of them -> whatever~) What I missed while working is the chance to sit on the hot air balloon and one of the planes! And!! I forgot to take picture with the planes! ): Ahhhhhh~ Did I mention we saw a rainbow??? Absolutely beautiful... I am definitely going back next year for their open house. With a CAMERA!!! what a day What I learnt today? R S A F = Round, Short, And Fat I was at the RSAF (Republic of Singapore Armed Forces, NOT round NOT short NOR fat) Open House today at the PAB (Paya Lebar Air Base) stationed so near to the fighter planes selling Wall's ice-creams. There were loads of pilots and technicians walking around, After ruling out those who like to 'act cool', there are not that many "shuai ge" around. And those few that I spotted, either did not like to eat ice-cream or behave very queerly. Lots of familiar faces around too. Too bad only managed to recognize a few only.  Directly after, I met up with another friend to go for the COMEX (Computer Exhibition) Fair at Suntec City. It is really what the Chinese call 'People Mountain People Sea'!!!! There is difficulty even to walk. My biggest reward for going: new inner ear ear piece, free cable wrap, poster, signature and picture with Nat Ho!!!
